Erik Seidel, born and raised in New York, started out as a professional backgammon player. He spent eight years on the tournament backgammon circuit before moving on to playing the stock market and, finally, to poker.

With 7 WSOP bracelets under his belt, Erik Seidel has achieved great success in the years since that fateful hand. He continues to be a top player, currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada.
